Preferred Spaces recently donated 3 x Sharp 43″ SMART TV’s to The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust.
After making a donation to the charity, we had the most incredible experience of receiving a private tour around The Children’s Adventure Farm Trust.
What they do is truly amazing.
Set in a stunning 17th Century farmhouse, we initially learnt what they do at the farm – from providing a variety of programmes for the terminally ill, disabled and disadvantaged children from all over the North West, to hosting events to help raise money for the charity.
CAFT is a holiday. It is a holiday were fond memories and bonds are formed. It is a place for love, normality & fun. The children are nurtured and self esteem is boosted.
The multi sensory rooms allows the children to experience sense of touch, vision, smell & sound which can stimulate or calm children with physical & learning disabilities, or sensory impairments.
A huge adventure playground which is located adjacent to the Alpacas & Donkey stations. The playground offers specially designed equipment that allows children with physical disabilities to be able to join in on the fun, such as a wheelchair swing and roundabout.
The quaint farmhouse transforms into a winter wonderland at Christmas time – the cosy conservatory turns into Santa’s Grotto and the courtyard is equip with a snow machine. The breakfast rooms converts into a traditional sweet shop. Volunteers are encouraged to dress up in mascot costumes which are set to a different theme each year – this year it’s Happy Feet!
This charity is solely funded off donations, so get digging in your pockets because it goes a very long way and makes such a huge difference.
